Former co-owner of popular Wilmington restaurant Under Currant at 10 Market Street, Xris Kessler is a Greensboro native who's formal artistic training includes both the Newport Art School in Rhode Island and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Taking time away from planning his latest commission, a series mural for the pediatric wing of the Beth Israel Medical Center in lower Manhattan, Kessler's current paintings showcase a variety of ethereal skyscapes with a minimalist tone.
